Madonna is going back to her musical roots, re-releasing some of her biggest hits for a new generation. The iconic performer recently revealed an intriguing new project in conjunction with her vintage albums Bedtime Stories and Confessions on a Dance Floor, and fans are over the moon with nostalgia.
On February 7, the 66-year-old pop star went to Instagram to announce that her 1994 album Bedtime Stories is receiving a special re-release, only a week after announcing plans for a follow-up to Confessions on a Dance Floor.
“Bedtime Stories Re-release and Vinyl on the way,” she wrote alongside a video of herself wearing a pale pink slip dress, as the ethereal rhythms of Bedtime Story played. The image, dripping with Madonna’s trademark mystique, whisked fans instantly back to the ’90s period during which she made the shift towards an R&B-driven sound.
First released in October 1994, Bedtime Stories was a radical departure from her previous pop and dance-infused albums.
