Apple CEO Tim Cook teased excitement today with a mysterious social media tweet alluding to a “launch” on Wednesday, February 19

“Ready to meet the newest addition to the family,” Cook taunted, hashtagging #AppleLaunch.

Though he did not reveal exact information or a release date, rumor is already afloat. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg says that this teaser will most likely herald the release of a new iPhone SE. Apple was earlier predicted by Gurman to release the device within a week, and the rumored enhancements include the speedy A18 chip, a 6.1-inch OLED screen, Face ID, a USB-C connector, and Apple Intelligence integration.

Apart from the iPhone SE, might there be even more to come? There have been reports that Apple is soon set to introduce new MacBook Air versions, an improved iPad Air, and an overhauled low-end iPad later this quarter. Further, a next-gen AirTag, a redesigned smart home hub, and some surprises are rumored for later in the year.

Considering the type of post Cook made, such an announcement could not be related to a launch event. Apple may instead make the news official via press releases on its Newsroom site, as the company did when it launched its recent iMac, Mac mini, and MacBook Pro models with M4 chips in October. Dedicated YouTube announcement videos are also a possibility, which Apple has employed for recent product releases.

With only six days remaining, people are getting impatient as technology enthusiasts wait for Apple’s latest unveiling.
