The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have released a rare glimpse of their two children on their official Christmas card.
The card includes a series of six photos, accompanied by the festive message: “We wish you a very happy holiday season.”
In one of the pictures, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, are seen walking towards their parents with their backs to the camera. Harry and Meghan greet them warmly with smiles and outstretched arms.
The couple, who have largely kept their children away from the public eye, ensured their faces remained out of view in the photo.
Other images on the card include Meghan embracing a young girl and Prince Harry holding the hand of a man lying in bed.
The full message on the Christmas card reads: “On behalf of the office of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions and Archewell Foundation, we wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful New Year.”
The card is intended for professional purposes, with the Sussexes sending a separate version to close friends and family, which will remain private.
Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior royals in January 2020. Although they retained their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles, they no longer use the designation his or her royal highness (HRH).
The couple relocated to California in June 2020, prior to Lilibet’s birth in 2021, and no longer maintain an official UK residence.
They have since founded the Archewell Foundation, a non-profit organization with a mission to “show up, do good.” Through their media company, Archewell Productions, they produce content for Netflix under a multi-million dollar agreement.
