People magazine has announced its choice for 2024 “Sexiest Man Alive” in US actor and filmmaker John Krasinski. Perhaps best known for his role as Jim Halpert on the popular US sitcom The Office, Krasinski is making waves behind the camera, having written, directed and starred with his wife, actress Emily Blunt, in the suspenseful thriller A Quiet Place last year. A horror film which won the hearts of audiences worldwide translated into a successful sequel, and in no small part contributed to Krasinski as both talented actor and filmmaker.
In response to the news, 45-year-old Krasinski acknowledged feeling a little stunned. Reflecting on his response, he told People, “just immediate blackout, actually. Just zero thoughts.” In his signature quick-wittedness, he continues to joke, “Other than maybe I’m being punked.
