Davina McCall Speaks Out with Promising Health Update after Brain Tumour Surgery

TV presenter Davina McCall has revealed she feels “stronger and stronger” as she recovers from surgery to remove a brain tumour.

She wrote in an endearing Instagram post that as part of her surgery to have the benign brain tumour removed, which was actually a colloid cyst, she is going through an arduous recovery. Sleep, according to her, is an important necessity because it will determine how long one takes to recover fully from the procedure.

Sporting a visible bruise around her left eye, McCall assured her followers that she is being “brilliantly” cared for by her boyfriend, hairdresser Michael Douglas, and her stepmother Gabby. “I’m just trying to sleep a lot and get better,” she shared.

Earlier in the week, McCall candidly talked about her challenges with short-term memory after the surgery. But there was some good news: “My memory is improving a lot every day,” she said Wednesday.
Thinking back about her time so far, she added that “sleep has been an example to me of how much sleep helps me recover from everything,” McCall explained.

“If I have a little moment of confusion, or I have trouble keeping my mind in focus, then I just take a nap, and when I wake up, I wake up completely revitalized. I know my brain must get a tremendous amount of sleep.”

The 57-year-old further took time to thank her fans for support, saying the kindness is something invaluable during the trying times.

Her journey has inspired many, with messages of encouragement pouring in from fans and fellow celebrities alike. Her partner, Michael Douglas, echoed her positive outlook during a livestream on Tuesday, saying, “She’s definitely out of the woods.

The openness of the popular presenter on her health challenges has come to highlight the need to take time to heal, to lean on loved ones for support, and to be grateful for small victories that occur in the recovery process.

As McCall continues gaining strength, her resilience and gratitude serve as a testament to the power of hope and self-care in overcoming life’s obstacles.
