Eminem has put pen to paper and is now officially a “grandpa” after the joyous declaration from his daughter Hailie Jade Scott of her being pregnant. The wonderful news has come as part of a touching new music video for his song “Temporary.” The 51-year-old rapper has a couple of tender moments, including film of walking his 28-year-old daughter down the aisle, and catching the moment Hailie told him she was pregnant.
One gift Hailie gave to the father was really special. She provided him with a Detroit Lions jersey whose back read “Grandpa,” and the rest in an ultrasound picture of her unborn child. There is the video featuring Eminem, also known by the real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III. They can be seen clearly taken aback because they are trying to grasp the news. There is Hailie giggling on his side and basking in her share of the excitement of the moment.
The child will be the first grandchild for Eminem as well as the first child for Hailie and her husband, Evan McClintock. The two lovebirds tied their knot in May after they first met in 2016. They were engaged in February of 2023. Hailie posted on Instagram on the day they got engaged. She posted the sweetest picture of Evan down on one knee. The caption said: “Casual weekend recap… 2.4.23 I love you @evanmcclintock11.”
Allegedly, according to TMZ reports, Hailie and Evan’s wedding was reportedly a private affair at Greencrest Manor in Battle Creek, Michigan. The ceremony’s guest list was exclusively reserved for those close to their hearts. No function was to be entirely star-studded as the likes of Eminem’s frequent collaborators – Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, and Jimmy Iovine – were reportedly in attendance.
She shared her thoughts on the wedding through social media and then wrote, “Waking up a wife this week.” Hailie posted pictures from their bash and thanked God for the gorgeous weekend. “We could not have asked for a better, more beautiful weekend celebration. So, so many happy tears were shed, laughs and smiles were had, and so much love was felt,” she added.
In her warm note, she went on to say: “Evan and I are feeling so grateful for all of the family and friends that traveled to support us and be a part of this new chapter of our lives as husband and wife.”
Hailie is one of the hosts at “Just A Little Shady,” a podcast. The influencer met her husband, McClintock, at Michigan State University where she majored in psychology. There she meets with other pursuits such as podcasting, making an active public persona. Her husband Evan is an enterprise growth executive.
Eminem has dedicated many of his songs over the course of the years talking about his daughter. His daughter has been referenced more than two dozen times in his lyrics. One of Eminem’s most notable tattoos is even an image of a baby version of Hailie’s face, shown prominently on his upper arm. This connection shows how much Hailie has had influence over both him personally and in his life and music.
In 1995, Eminem had welcomed Hailie into his world via ex-wife Kimberly Anne Scott. Their love life, too, has seen its own fare of ups and downs – the couple was married first in 1999, then divorced in 2001 and then reunited from January 2, 2006, but this union proved to be yet another short one, signifying the end of an entire chapter of complications in Eminem’s love life.
Now that Eminem wants to get to grandpa status, most of his fans and family are cheering the outstanding moment. With this news recently announced, several people are moved to see how things go with Hailie and Eminem. As he becomes known as grandpa, the world waits with bated breath as it witnesses the family life of one of the entertainment industry’s most iconic acts.
