Eleanor Tomlinson is pregnant: The Poldark actress, 32, took to Instagram on Sunday to share some lovely news with her fans: She’s pregnant with her first child. Posting a picture of an adorable baby outfit with “Baby Owen” written on it, the actress wrote, “Can’t wait to meet you little one.”
This is a big and happy milestone that comes two years after she married rugby player Will Owen in a fairytale wedding held at Euridge Manor in the Cotswolds. In 2022, Eleanor and Will marry in the beautiful countryside surrounding by lots of family and friends. So for the perfect photos in the beautiful grounds of the manor, Eleanor wore a stunning off-the-shoulder Provonias gown complemented by Christian Louboutin heels.
Their relationship went public in February 2021 when Eleanor posted a loved-up photo with Will on her social media page. The romance rumors were already going around, and speculations regarding the engagement started a little later in that year when the actress was spotted in London wearing a diamond ring, in November 2021. According to sources at the time, Eleanor was completely head over heels for Will and was struggling to get into this new relationship following her split with Poldark co-star Harry Richardson in 2018.
According to reports, during the initial months of their relationship, Eleanor and Will mostly spent quality time with his family when the lockdown of COVID 19 started. She even mentioned on the Overrated podcast that they really were having a great time together, spending time in the garden, and enjoying life. While that was so, it seems the connection between Eleanor and Will’s family has been deepened as the couple became more intimate day by day.
Talented rugby player Will has captained and played for some of the major clubs to include Clifton Rugby, Coventry Rugby, Leicester Tigers, Doncaster Knights, and Nottingham Rugby Club. Throughout the lead-up to their marriage, they have been rigorously active in a punishing schedule that has not dented the strength and warmth of their relationship, adding far more meaning to this new chapter in their lives.
Eleanor rose to fame playing the fiery Demelza on Poldark, and she reflected on how much her life has changed since the series. She opened up in a recent interview about how the success of the show impacted both her professional and personal life. “Suddenly, when you become part of something that’s very successful, people treat you differently,” she shared. “The actors on set would be asking me things as if I were the person who’d know, when really I’m just 22, and trying to find my feet.”
Her rise to fame on Poldark didn’t mean, however, that there was no scrutiny of her private life. Before she and Will, Eleanor had been romantically linked with some big names. She previously dated Aidan Turner’s stunt double, Ben Atkinson, until 2017. Later in the same year, she began a relationship with the Australian actor Harry Richardson who also acts in Poldark as Drake Carne. It seems Eleanor has finally found what she needs though in Will, and they will now face a new life as it has been announced that they are expecting their first child.
Just after Eleanor announced her baby news, scores of fans and fellow celebrities filled her pages with congratulatory messages on the web. Many of them filled the comments’ section with pretty words, celebrating this new exciting chapter in the life of an actress.
Eleanor Tomlinson must definitely be having a perfect time in life with her smashing career as an actress, marvelous personal relationships, and now possibly becoming a mother, too. As the actress is getting ready to welcome the first baby with Will, she is capable of looking forward to a full-of-love-and-family-filled new chapter in her life with no doubt plenty of happy moments waiting ahead.
