Cradle of Filth Unleash New Single and Tease New Album: A Darkly Delicious Evolution

Cradle of Filth fans, rejoice! Your wait is nearly over. Frontman Dani Filth recently talked to Metal Global’s Jorge Botas in an interview and announced that the new single, along with its corresponding music video, will be unleashed on October 22nd. It would be the pre-curser for their new album, expected later in March or early April next year.

“It’s a great song, a great video,” Dani gushed, “and it’s just the first of a few singles before the full album drops.” Confident that fans will love the new material, he expanded on his thoughts. “It’s part of Cradle of Filth’s evolution,” he explained. “It’s hard to describe, but it’s definitely not a rehash of anything we’ve done before.”

While he speaks very little about specifics, Dani did say that the record would be a mix of classic Cradle elements and a modern edge. “There’s definitely a lot of early Cradle echoes-in atmosphere and in music-but there’s also a lot that makes Cradle what it is today. It’s got everything-catchiness, heaviness, the whole package.”

The new album follows the heels of their critically acclaimed 2021 release, “Existence Is Futile.” Dani says, “It’s definitely an advancement.but not because of any pressure. We pour our hearts and souls into every album, and this one’s no exception. We want to make sure it’s the best it can be before we unleash it on the world.”

Regarding the creative process of Cradle of Filth, the interview went deeper and explored their creativity. Dani said that the band has been working on new material with the hope of releasing in 2027. He emphasized how important this is to be able to spend time to make albums that are singular bench-marks in their discography.

It’s being released alongside the special edition of the new album, which will include a collaboration with pop superstar and Cradle of Filth fan, Ed Sheeran. While little else is known, the possibility of this unlikely pair has certainly raised enough eyebrows among fans.

A new single, a genre-bending album in the works, and perhaps even a team-up with Ed Sheeran-don’t tell Daniella; she’s proving Cradle of Filth is really not slowing down. Get ready for a new wave of darkness and delicious musical mayhem!
