Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may be playing it relatively cool in public over a disputed ‘breakup contract’ that broke online earlier this month, but sources close to the couple claim they are much more disturbed. The allegedly Kelce public-relations firm-sourced document claimed the two were finally breaking up.
After the leak, Kelce’s team had to deny reports that the couple was on its way to splitting up because the couple seemed to be more than solidly together. The paper outlined a plan that issued a formal statement three days after the purported breakup, which was said to have been filmed, in hopes that the media storm would die down enough to clear up the situation.
The leaked documents hinted at framing the separation as the “natural part of life while painting Kelce as someone devoted to self-improvement and to his professional sports career. The move was meant to divert attention to his further continuation of winning rather than private failure.
Though drama surrounds the contract between the two, they have indeed spent quality time together. Swift attended both of Kelce’s initial NFL games with the Kansas City Chiefs, so perhaps the couple is growing stronger.
The publication Life & Style recently reported that both parties were shaken to their core by the situation, changing how the couple will likely go about handling their future relationship.
A source had a few observations about the change in Swift’s perspective, saying, “Taylor’s really making a conscious effort to go with the flow a lot more now and let her hair down.” When their romance started, Swift was very detail-oriented, from when she and her boyfriend might appear publicly to what image they wanted to project. She has generally controlled her public image through the years but is looking to loosen up those restrictions now.
The source continued, “In the past, she had to look like the perfect NFL girlfriend, head-to-toe team gear. This time, she wore what she was feeling sexy in; she didn’t wear fan merch or team colors.”
The couple also recently had a romantic getaway in New York, where they watched the US Open final and celebrated a busy weekend together. After the Chiefs took a win over the Ravens, Swift and Kelce jetted off to the Big Apple, dining at their favorite Brooklyn eatery Lucali and mingling with friends, including Patrick and Brittany Mahomes.
Although Swift was at the VMAs last week, they are together in Kansas City as they prepare for another game there against the Cincinnati Bengals. The couple has reportedly been talking about their future together-especially since the long running Eras Tour will end with her in December. Kelce has joined the conversation, telling everyone that his football days will be numbered.
One of the sources for US Weekly said that “Taylor and Travis are very committed and serious about their future.” Swift finds herself on the threshold of a new life chapter, and she feels it’s important.
The same source pointed out that they are actually having “serious conversations” about what they want for the future. Swift has actually expressed her eagerness to settle down after touring, in accordance with the sentiments of Kelce. “They both see marriage as something they want sooner rather than later, and they both want kids. Taylor has always been excited by the idea of marriage and starting a family. She just hadn’t found The One until now.”
As the Eras Tour resumes in Miami on October 18, Swift is planning to attend as many of Kelce’s games as she can, showing her support both on and off the field.
