With such amazing news from her fans worldwide, Kylie Minogue will finally be announcing her biggest tour in over ten years. Starting off with her home country of Australia, and then on to the UK for 2025, Minogue promises the full assortment of energy and excitement.
The pop sensation has just confirmed plans for her new Tension tour, due to be performed in Australia, Asia and Europe, with North and South American dates soon to be confirmed. This follows last year’s blockbuster success of “Padam Padam”, her album Tension and her residency in Las Vegas. She has also topped the bill for a main performance at London’s Hyde Park earlier this summer.
I’m fully excited to announce the Tension tour for 2025. I cannot help but feel excited in preparation for creating such a special and unforgettable moment with fans all around the globe in the celebration of the Tension era and more. It is a whirlwind thus far, so get ready because there’s going to be so much Padaming!
First, Minogue has made hints about the tour in tandem with the news of her forthcoming album, Tension II, due out this October. The first single off the record is Lights, Camera, Action, which goes to air later this month: September 27. Tracklisting for The Blessed Madonna’s remix of ‘Munset Lunu’: Tension II is stocked to the rafters with collaborations from various artists: mentioned among them are Orville Peck, Bebe Rexha, and Tove Lo, to which Sia adds.
She has promised to give the public a tour, which will be her major series of shows after her Golden tour in 2018 and 2019. The fans will be specially excited as it is also going to be her most ambitious tour since the Aphrodite: Les Folies tour in 2011. During that tour, Minogue performed all the hits from her Aphrodite album, with such stunners as All The Lovers and Get Outta My Way.
But perhaps the highlight of the tour leg in the UK will be how many big cities will be graced by none other than Minogue herself: Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Nottingham, and Birmingham, among others. The twice O2 Arena concert in London is scheduled. The list of the cities and dates will be posted soon.
Talking about her recent success, Minogue explained: ‘The Tension era has been something really special for me and I’m not ready to let it go just yet!’ “”
The pop star, who got her fame in the 1980s by playing the role of Charlene Mitchell on the Australian soap Neighbours, is now a global music icon. Through the years, she has produced so many hit songs such as I Should Be So Lucky, Hand On Your Heart, Confide In Me, Spinning Around, and who can forget Can’t Get You Out Of My Head? Her never-ending ability to reinvent herself is what keeps her fresh until today; Padam Padam, last year 2023, showcases this pop legend’s continued pertinence in this vibrant art world. The track, an electronic dance anthem, went viral and introduced Minogue to a whole new generation of listeners.
Earlier this year, Minogue scooped the Global Icon Award at the Brit Awards. She also claimed a Grammy for Best Pop Dance Recording for Padam Padam, a testament to her lasting influence on the music world.
With a career that stretches over decades but new doors of music and performances continue ringing in, Kylie Minogue seems to not decline at all. Her Tension tour is indeed one hell of an escapade into some celebration of her work for the final time. It is with such eagerness that her fans across the globe await seeing their fabulous star once again live.
