Elle Fanning has just become one of the latest faces to front the legendary fashion house, Coach. This Thursday, the young beauty made her very first post on Instagram to introduce the chic handbags for the company’s fall campaign.
See below for pictures of the 26-year-old actress-the star of The Great-in giant bows in her hair, looking full of pure joy in front of a very sunny Brooklyn. The caption to her photos implored the viewer to “unlock your courage,” an important message about self-acceptance.
In one of them, the incomparable Manhattan skyline served as an amazing backdrop where Elle posed with the latest Coach offering: Teri Shoulder Bag. The message was just real from the brand: “Our Coach Family is here to remind you that your idea of perfection should not hold you back from being real. #CourageToBeReal.” This was one posting featuring versatility with the Teri Shoulder Bag that Elle first modeled as a shoulder bag and then as a crossbody.
Elle Fanning sported just a white Coach T-shirt over jeans to let her freckles shine naturally, but still rounded it with a careless, shining smile that spoke directly to the intent of the campaign-self-expression and surety.
In one more post on Instagram, Elle was featured by Coach, attired in a black camisole and jeans, having a polka-dot jacket casually tied around her waist. The post was humorously captioned as follows: “Bows and the Brooklyn Shoulder Bag, brought to you by #ElleFanning,” accompanied by emojis of New York City-like bow, apple, and taxi.
This summer, Elle was spotted filming the highly anticipated movie A Complete Unknown in New York City. She shares screen space in the movie with Timothée Chalamet as the legendary musician Bob Dylan. The title of the film is a loan from a line in his 1965 iconic song “Like a Rolling Stone.”
Most saliently, Elle’s personal life intersects with this project because she is currently dating Gus Wenner, CEO of Rolling Stone magazine and son of the magazine’s co-founder Jann Wenner. The song “Like a Rolling Stone” played a significant part in the magazine’s history as Jann Wenner referenced it on the first issue back in 1967.
In April, Gus Wenner took to Instagram to celebrate Elle’s 26th birthday with a selfie of the couple sporting an Elle-worn Rolling Stone baseball cap. He captioned, “Happy birthday to my [love]”, to which Elle replied, “My sweet baby.” Last month, she returned the favor when she posted a photo of her and Wenner having a beach day for his 34th birthday, adorably captioning it, “Happy Birthday angel.
The Complete Unknown is directed by James Mangold, who has revealed that the real Bob Dylan had a hand in shaping the screenplay. In one podcast interview, Mangold said he had spent time with the man, discussing the project at great length. “I have a script that’s personally annotated by him and treasured by me. He loves movies,” Mangold said.
This early-1960s-set film dramatizes a true milestone in music history with a then 17-year-old Dylan thumbing his way to New York with $16 on his person and the hope of visiting his hospitalized idol Woody Guthrie, who suffered from a debilitating nerve disease. Mangold hinted Altman-esque flights in touting an “ensemble piece” that captured the zeitgeist of that transitional era.
The movie A Complete Unknown will be arriving in U.S. theaters on Christmas Day, December 25, and will be a film biography of the early years which Bob Dylan spent in New York with a star-studded cast led by Chalamet and Fanning.
