A Timeless Bond: Clooney and Pitt Reunite for “Wolfs”

The Hollywood landscape is dotted with transitory friendships and tumultuous partnerships. Amid all that change, one relationship still shines bright: the bond between George Clooney and Brad Pitt. Clooney and Pitt had their first film together when the big budget heist movie “Ocean’s Eleven” hit box offices in 2001. Instantly, there was a magic to the on-screen dynamic between them. And pretty soon, a friendship emerged offscreen, too. Their bond withstood storms, among them Pitt’s extremely publicized divorce from Angelina Jolie and his ensuing struggles. Still, through it all, Clooney has stayed the course of being sure and steady as a friend to Pitt.

Wolfs,” Clooney and Pitt are back, professional fixers who find themselves teaming up when, really they’d rather be solo players. The new film from Jon Watts is sure to make hearts sing with its comedy and action. As Clooney told one magazine: “We’ve been friends for a long time, and it’s fun. Because we also check in on each other every once in a while, which is an important part of this. Things get complicated in life and you always have to make sure everybody’s okay.”

The fact that “Wolfs” finally reached the screen in Venice on September 1st for the first time was a milestone for the two. It is set to reach US theaters on September 20th and hit Apple TV+ streaming on September 27th.

A source close to the actors told PEOPLE, “Brad and George are forever friends. They like and respect each other no matter how many years in between gigs together. They go way back and were happy to work together on this film. Wolfs was a meaty project and both took a real interest in it. They are excited about the film and enjoying the hell out of it as time leads up to the release.”

As Clooney and Pitt dive into this new venture together, their friendship is a reminder that, yes, even in Hollywood, good friendships can transcend time. “Wolfs” is, in itself, a celebration of their common history, stubborn support for each other, and undeniable talent.
