Taylor Swift Privately Reaches Out to Southport Tragedy Families Ahead of Wembley Show

Taylor Swift reached out privately to the families of the Southport tragedy ahead of her recent Wembley Stadium performance. The singer, 34, returned to London for five more shows after being deeply moved by the devastating incident that claimed the lives of three young girls who attended a Swift-themed dance class on July 29.

Bebe King, six, Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, were killed during the attack while another ten were injured. Though she Swift didn’t utter a single word about it in the performance, it was clear the victims had been on her mind Thursday night during her show.

A source revealed that even though Taylor Swift did not utter a word about it while on stage, she had sent her condolences to the families of the bereaved in private. Indeed, she had been affected by the tragedy; something that was heavy on her heart.

In a statement, Taylor Swift spoke out about her sadness after learning of the attack, saying that they were just little children who were in a dance class, and their loss was just unimaginable. She admitted she was in shock and searching for words to put out a condolence message to the bereaved families.

Her fans flooded social media to share their support as the pop star returned to the stage on Thursday. One magical moment from the concert saw Swift surprise the audience by bringing out Ed Sheeran to perform “Everything Has Changed.” The two rolled right along in a medley that included “End Game” and Sheeran’s own song, “Thinking Out Loud.”.

Yet, even while one was having fun, the memory of that Southport tragedy would come to make everyone realize how short life can be at times and how much compassion is required when people are going through bad times.
