Pop Icons of the 00s Fire Reunion Rumors with Surprising Meet-Up After Seven Years

The 2000s pop world is speculating on the reuniting of one of its favorite girl bands, The Saturdays. Although their last performance was in 2014, it’s only recently that members of the girls’ band fired up reunion rumors with a surprise meet-up.

Up to that period, The Saturdays boasted some of the sexiest singles which included “Issues,” “Up,” and “What About Us” before taking a long break from the group when the members decided to focus on individual music careers. However, recent social media activities between Frankie Bridge and Vanessa White have rekindled the flame in the fans’ hearts again. The two singers shared a heartwarming shot together, evidently thrilled to be back in touch once more after years apart.

In the snap, 35-year-old Frankie Bridge is all smiles as she stands with Vanessa White, 34, and another friend, Leah Meredith, on a night out. The picture has gone viral in no time as it gives rise to speculation of a possible group comeback. The mini-reunion came days after another recent get-together where Una Healy and Vanessa White were reunited for the first time in seven years.

A reunion for fans had been in the bring pretty much since the reunions of the Sugababes, Girls Aloud, and, almost, the Spice Girls. Since those sightings, there had been particular attention on The Saturdays, also consisting of Rochelle Humes and Mollie King.

And Una Healy, 42, said she ‘loved it so much’ as she gushed: ‘So good to be reunited with @vanessawhite today! Loved our catch up so much.’ Vanessa replied: ‘Can’t believe it’s been nearly 7 years since we’ve seen each other! Love you.’ Una responded: ‘I know it’s so bad! But just like old times and all the laughs love you .” Rochelle Humes sent heart-eye emojis to show her love, even though she was among those dismissing rumors of a full reunion on the basis she doesn’t buy into speculation.

During a recent interview while filming with her husband Marvin Humes for BBC’s *The Hit List*, Rochelle, 35, continued to be blunt about how the interest in reuniting the group wasn’t that easy to get over. She admitted, “I’ll be totally honest, it’s hard to get the five of us in a room for dinner. Our group chat is always one of us suggesting drinks, but we can never decide on a date that suits everyone.” Through those difficulties, Rochelle’s comments would suggest that, organizing a full reunion, may be less of an easy task, yet none the less impossible to achieve.

Yet fans remain hopeful in their avidness, with some taking to social media to declare their excitement. Comments such as Marc’s “Y’all need to reunite and realize how much you’re loved AND missed” or a request for a comeback album from the ladies of The Saturdays, from Maxmud Haji, express people’s need for the group in the spotlight.

Others, such as Sandy B and Yasu Carey, chimpy at the bit, with Sandy going on to humorously ask, “I hope you were starting the plan for a @thesaturdays reunion tour!!!!!!”, and Yasu simply stating, “Ahhhhhhh reunion?!”.

Just recently, though, there seems to be no official breakup with the group or even the announcement of their removal from the Polydor Records label, as these recent interactions have set fans dreaming of a possible new music and live show. With all this build-up and eagerness among the fans, it would seem a studio comeback may just be around the corner, although, for now, that is one pious hope.
