Katie Price Arrested at Heathrow After Missing Court Date

Former model and TV personality Katie Price was arrested at Heathrow Airport for failing to appear in court. The 46-year-old was arrested as she arrived back from Turkey and is now being detained in a west London police station. She is due to appear at the Royal Courts of Justice on Friday.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Katie Price was arrested at about 7:45 PM on Thursday, 8 August, on suspicion of failure to appear in court as required.

This follows an arrest warrant issued by Judge Catherine Burton sitting at the Insolvency and Companies Court.”. The judge expressed frustration that Price had not appeared at a hearing related to her bankruptcy case and did not provide any valid reason for her failure to show up. Judge Burton pointed out that the court does not lightly issue arrest warrants, but felt it was left with no choice in light of the poor cooperation and refusal to supply important information regarding her financial situation.

The reality star has had financial issues plagging her for some time now, with the first bankruptcy declared as far back as November 2019, and another one in March of this year. She was ordered earlier this year to pay 40 percent of her monthly earnings from adult content site OnlyFans to her bankruptcy trustee for the next three years. The second bankruptcy was triggered by an unpaid tax bill in excess of £750,000.
