Thirty-year-old Justin made the happy news public on his Instagram, where he boasts millions of followers, early on Saturday morning. He shared a very cute picture of a little Jack’s tiny foot, and the hearts of fans and friends could not resist but go into full meltdown mode. Loving comments flooded the post within minutes by friends and some of the famous friends of the couple giving their congratulations. Among the first to comment were Kylie Jenner and Katy Perry. Commenting, evidently taken by the size of the baby’s foot, was Kylie, saying, “I can’t handle this little foot, JACK BLUES.” Katy Perry also couldn’t hold back her joy, stating that, “Your blessing has arrived.”
The journey to parenthood for the Biebers is indeed a story that many followed keenly. Being 27, Hailey, daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin, had been able to successfully hide her pregnancy until she was six months into it. She managed to subtly hide her growing bump within oversized jackets and wise styling choices, enabling the pair to keep the early part of their pregnancy to themselves. It wasn’t until May that they decided to share their big news with the world, in a stunning photoshoot where Hailey debuted her baby bump. In photos, the Rhode skincare founder looked radiant in a white lace gown with Justin smiling by her side, capturing the moment on his camera in pride.
The announcement of their baby’s birth has been met with an overflowing of love and support for the cute couple from their fans and even their celebrity friends. Hell, even Justin’s ex, Sofia Ritchie, sent a sweet congratulatory message, which quashes any bad blood between the two of them. But, in such exciting news about a long-overdue baby, it came with some rumors. Shortly after the pregnancy announcement, Justin’s mom, Pattie Mallette fueled the general speculation floating around that the duo could quite possibly be expecting twins. The same, however, was quickly shot down and only went to raise more and more excitement around the birth.

Hailey has been vocal about her thoughts regarding motherhood—in a conversation with W magazine, she had stated that she was “secretly wishing” to hide her pregnancy for months. “I could keep it quiet, honestly, because I was small for such a long time,” she said. “I really didn’t have a belly until I was actually six months pregnant, which is when I announced it. I was able to wear big jackets and stuff.” At first, Hailey wanted to keep the news to herself, but she realized it was getting hard to keep it under wraps when it was such a major thing in her life. “I probably could have kept it a secret until the end,” she said, “but I didn’t enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly. It just feels like I had this big secret in here, and I didn’t feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”
As Hailey and Justin get into the saddle of leading a family, they understand it will come with challenges because they have to raise a child in the public eye. In an earlier interview with GQ, Hailey looked back at how her life has changed since marrying Justin. “Maybe I liked the idea at 18 of not raising kids around certain things, but my life is so different now than it was when I was 18,” she said. Now, as the mother of Jack Blues, she is left to deal with her demand for privacy and the demand of the public to know.
Justin and Hailey’s life now has a new millennial start with happiness, love, and the usual rhythms and pains associated with raising a baby, as Jack Blues has finally arrived. The couple, of course, will continue sharing their bits and pieces of life with millions of fans but will certainly hold moments that will be precious, special, and meant for them and them alone.
