Halle Berry Gives Credit to Pierce Brosnan for Restoring Her Faith in Men

Halle Berry has recently talked about how working with Pierce Brosnan for the James Bond series movie Die Another Day changed her attitude towards men. She said that this actor’s high variety and neatness greatly influenced her. The movie was the last one in which Pierce Brosnan played the role of a legendary knight of the truth, so that might have made quite an impression on Berry.

During an interview with Wired, Berry revealed that Brosnan is, in fact, her Bond, saying, “He will always be my Bond, always. I’m a Pierce Brosnan fan. He restored my faith in men on that movie.”. “There couldn’t be a human who is more of a gentleman than Pierce Brosnan.” Her character, Jinx Johnson, an NSA agent who teams up with Bond to foil the plans of the villainous Gustav Graves, Brought Berry face to face with the character of Brosnan.

Though Berry was not one of the very eager actors to work in a Bond movie, she always seemed partial to the series. She admitted, “No, Bond wasn’t on the wish list, either, for me. But that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t want to be in one. I always loved the movies. But having been in one, I feel like I’m a part of cinematic history. Those movies are iconic. She said: “They will forever be a part of our history, and I’m really honored to have been a part of one, especially with Pierce.” Her comments highlighted not only her respect for Brosnan but also her appreciation for the historical significance of the James Bond franchise.

This is where she even had discussion with the James Bond producers regarding the possibility of a spinoff. Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson expressed their willingness to do so but even their interest did not give way for the MGM to proceed with the same. Recalling back this situation Berry mentions in her flashback, “It was very disappointing. It was ahead of its time.”. Nobody was prepared to invest that kind of money in a Black female action star. They were just not sure if it was worth that much. That is where we were at that time.”

Berry’s work in The Union has, with another recent television series appearance, premiered on Netflix in the last season in which she stars with Mark Wahlberg. The storyline primarily revolves around Mike, a construction worker in New Jersey, who gets an unusual twist in his normal life when his high school crush, Roxanne, ultimately re-enters his life and invites him on a high-octane dangerous mission in Europe. The feature quickly shot to the summit of Netflix’s chart of English films, to have 33.1 million views in the first week. The film has received lukewarm reviews, though there is a kind of dichotomy of critical opinion about it.
