Immediately, John’s endorsement set fans pleading to the two artists to make a dream collaboration. “This collab would shatter the universe,” one fan wrote, but the others pleaded for a duet from the two musical powerhouses. It’s pretty evident that the world has been ready for a Chappell and Elton duet.
That’s mutual. John has been rather vocal about his admiration for Roan’s talent, including the latter’s “Red Wine Supernova” in his much-anticipated “15 favorite songs of 2023” list. He likened her to a queen among other fast-rising female artists like Baby Queen, Mitski, LOONY, and boygenius.
The two artists were also featured together headlining Elton’s Apple Music podcast, “Rocket Hour,” during which they shared Roan’s meteoric rise to fame. John, a self-proclaimed “proud fan,” chimed in saying he couldn’t be happier for his young accomplishments.
