Prince Harry Takes on Tabloids in Revealing Documentary as Diana’s Personal Letters Surface

Prince Harry is set to open up about the impact of the phone hacking scandal in a revealing documentary airing tonight. At the same time, intimate letters from his mother, Princess Diana, are set to be auctioned.

The Duke of Sussex will share how his legal battles with the tabloid press contributed to the growing divide within his family. In a trailer for the ITV documentary, Harry reflects on his court case, stating, “Yeah, that’s certainly a central piece to it. But, you know, that’s a hard question to answer because anything I say about my family results in a torrent of abuse from the press.”

Last December, Prince Harry won his privacy case against Mirror Group Newspapers when a High Court judge ruled that his phone had been hacked. He is also involved in ongoing legal battles with the publishers of the Daily Mail and The Sun.

In a poignant turn of events, previously unseen letters from Princess Diana to her family’s housekeeper have surfaced and are expected to fetch thousands of pounds at auction later this month. One letter, written on Buckingham Palace stationery, details the “frantic” preparations for Diana’s wedding to Charles.

This personal glimpse into Diana’s life and Harry’s ongoing struggle with the press underscores the ongoing challenges faced by the royal family in the public eye.
