NAB App Operational Following Outage, Internet Banking Services Still Unavailable

NAB customers are currently unable to access their online banking via computers, while the bank’s mobile app has resumed functionality following an outage,” the bank reported. “We are actively working to resolve the issue,” it added this afternoon.

Customers attempting to use the app or online banking today encountered a message indicating that the service was unavailable.

A spokesperson from NAB apologized “for any inconvenience caused.” They acknowledged, “We’re aware of an issue affecting several of our services, including internet banking, mobile, and desktop.” The spokesperson further stated, “Our tech team is actively investigating and working to resolve this issue promptly. We are providing ongoing updates to our customers through banners in our digital banking channels and on social media.”

In a subsequent update, NAB confirmed that mobile banking services have been restored. They continued to work on resolving the remaining issues with internet banking.

The bank communicated through social media (X) that its app and internet banking services were “experiencing issues.”

“We’re aware of an issue currently impacting some of our services including internet banking, mobile, and desktop,” NAB posted on X.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this is causing. Our teams are actively working to resolve this as soon as possible. We will provide updates accordingly.”

On the NAB banking platform, customers were advised that they can still utilize telephone banking for urgent queries.

According to Down Detector, thousands of people have reported experiencing issues with NAB’s services. Many individuals have voiced their frustrations on social media due to the outage.

“Thanks NAB, now I can’t transfer money to pay for my $600 Woolworths groceries,” one user expressed. “I’ll just take them, you can work it out on my behalf.”

Another user criticized the bank, calling it “useless.”

“It’s becoming a common occurrence,” commented another frustrated user.

Yet another suggested, “Switch to cash.”
