Michael J Fox Joins Coldplay at Glastonbury: A ‘Mind-Blowing’ Collaboration

Michael J Fox described his experience performing with Coldplay at Glastonbury Festival as “mind-blowing.” The iconic actor, known for his role in Back to the Future despite battling Parkinson’s disease, joined the British band on stage during their headline set. Coldplay, making history with their fifth time headlining Glastonbury, captivated the audience with hits like “Yellow” and “Fix You.”

Chris Martin, Coldplay’s frontman, introduced several special guests during their performance, including Elyanna, but it was Michael J Fox’s appearance that stole the show. He played guitar alongside the band for songs like “Humankind” and “Fix You,” thrilling the massive crowd of 100,000.

In a heartfelt Instagram post following the event, Fox expressed gratitude to his team and Coldplay members Chris Martin, Will Champion, Johnny Buckland, and Guy Berryman for their warm welcome and support. Reflecting on the experience, Fox described it as “f mind blowing,” emphasizing the unique connection he felt with Coldplay’s music and the festival atmosphere.

Chris Martin had teased Fox’s appearance earlier in the set, a nod to Fox’s iconic role as Marty McFly in Back to the Future, where he famously performs Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B Goode.” Martin acknowledged Fox as a hero and credited him for inspiring Coldplay’s musical journey.

Coldplay’s performance at Glastonbury also drew other notable figures, including Dakota Johnson, Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Gillian Anderson, and Stormzy, all gathered to witness the band’s electrifying show from the side stage platform and the crowd.
