Kylian Mbappe was unveiled to an enthusiastic crowd at the Santiago Bernabeu, officially joining Real Madrid.
The event marked an “incredible day” for Mbappe, who expressed his joy and gratitude. Following the end of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, his move to Real Madrid had been anticipated, but it became official on July 1st.
Florentino Perez introduced the club’s new star, who spoke to the crowd in Spanish. Mbappe thanked the president for his unwavering support and acknowledged the efforts of everyone who helped make his dream a reality. He also shared an emotional moment with his family, especially noting his mother’s tears of joy.
Mbappe, visibly moved, reminisced about dreaming of this day since childhood. He expressed his gratitude to the Real Madrid fans for their continuous support and pledged to give his all for the club. He concluded his speech with a spirited “Hala Madrid,” reminiscent of Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous introduction.
Welcomed by former Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane, who first brought Mbappe to the club in 2012 for a visit, the French superstar also interacted with fans and kicked balls into the stands, further endearing himself to the supporters.
