As the day progressed, Headie One premiered his new album with unbridled confidence, calling it a masterpiece. Meanwhile, K-pop sensation Seventeen made their Glastonbury debut, charming the audience with their catchy tunes and dynamic stage presence. Performance artist Marina Abramović created a poignant moment with “Seven Minutes of Collective Silence,” a profound tribute to the victims of war and violence.
PJ Harvey followed, her ethereal presence and haunting songs captivating the audience. LCD Soundsystem shifted the energy with their dance-worthy hits, creating a seamless transition to the night’s headliner. Saturday brought a mix of the bold and unexpected. Northern Irish rap duo Kneecap performed an unapologetically political set, drawing a surprisingly large crowd. The Last Dinner Party, despite initial skepticism, won over fans with their theatrical performance and catchy songs. Cyndi Lauper delivered a unique set, blending her classic hits with playful anecdotes and unexpected musical choices.
Little Simz brought raw energy and charisma to her Pyramid stage performance, while Coldplay’s lavish spectacle left no room for subtlety. Their set, filled with hits, fireworks, and heartfelt moments, encapsulated the grand scale of Glastonbury.
On Sunday, Shania Twain’s pop-country charm filled the legends slot, delighting fans with her nostalgic hits. Avril Lavigne’s punk-pop anthems resonated with a devoted crowd, proving the enduring appeal of her music. SZA closed the festival with an eclectic and visually stunning performance, blending various musical styles and dramatic staging to create an unforgettable finale.
