Billie Eilish, the Grammy-winning artist, is scheduled to read a children’s bedtime story on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer this week. She will be narrating “This Moose Belongs to Me” by Oliver Jeffers, a tale about Wilfred, a young boy who claims ownership of a moose named Marcel.
Ahead of the reading, Eilish will engage with young viewers about her passion for nature, emphasizing the importance of caring for wild creatures like Marcel while allowing them their freedom. The broadcast is set to air on CBeebies on Friday 19 July.
CBeebies regularly features prominent celebrities for its Bedtime Story segments, including recent readers like Tom Hardy, Tom Hiddlestone, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Motsi Mabuse, Dave Grohl, and Dolly Parton.
Reflecting on her own childhood love for bedtime stories, Eilish expressed fond memories: “My favorite thing as a child was a bedtime story, and I treasured each one I received!”
Eilish, aged 22, recently gained attention for her appearance on the internet comedy series “Chicken Shop Date,” hosted by Amelia Dimoldenberg. Their interaction was noted as one of the more flirtatious episodes of the show, with Dimoldenberg humorously offering Eilish vegan chicken nuggets and chips, quipping, “Because I’m not on the menu yet.”
The CBeebies Bedtime Story airs weekdays at 6.50pm on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer, providing nightly entertainment for children across the UK.
