Taylor Swift captured a perfect royal selfie ahead of her Wembley concert, posing with the Prince of Wales and his two young music-loving children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Kensington Palace shared a picture of the royal trio with the singer backstage before the Friday night show.
“Thank you Taylor Swift for a great evening!” the caption read.
For Prince William, taking his two children to the hottest show in town was a way to earn maximum dad points on his 42nd birthday. It had been a busy birthday week for him as he had just flown in from Germany, where he attended England’s Euro 2024 match against Denmark the previous evening.
Swift later posted another selfie featuring her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, alongside Prince William, 10-year-old Prince George, and nine-year-old Princess Charlotte. “Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start,” her post read.
The Princess of Wales stayed at home with six-year-old Prince Louis.
The US megastar brought her Eras Tour to London on Friday, performing for a crowd of nearly 90,000. It was the first of her eight shows at the stadium, divided between this week and August.
Other notable attendees included Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan and Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer.
Swift, who spent a period living in London earlier in her career, called the city “the most exhilarating city in the world.”
