Sela Ward is an American actress best known for her portrayal of House’s ex-girlfriend Stacy Warner in the hit medical drama series House. Ward was born on July 11, 1956 in Meridian, Mississippi. She attended the University of Alabama, where she studied art and advertising. After graduating, she moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting.
Ward’s first major role was in the 1982 television movie The Man Who Loved Women, which starred Burt Reynolds. She then went on to appear in a number of television series, including Sisters, The Fugitive, and The Practice. She also appeared in several films, including The Fugitive, The Stepford Wives, and The Guardian.
In 2004, Ward was cast as House’s ex-girlfriend Stacy Warner in the hit medical drama series House. She appeared in a total of 22 episodes over the course of the show’s eight-season run.
