The fan favourite God Of Mischief, Loki, Prince of Asgard is back in MCUs latest series. Loki a standalone series following the adventures of Loki Lauffeyson, who after the chaotic events of Avengers Endgame, escaped using the Tesseract. Loki was supposed to be dead after Avengers: Infinity War, but one can never be sure with Loki!!
Starring Tom Hiddleston in the lead role, Marvel’s third experiment with shows for their underrated characters after WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Disney Plus Hotstar series Loki premiered today.
Tom Hiddleston is already playing the “Puny God” for more than a decade with charisma and suave and he carries it into this show as well. The rest of the cast includes Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Wunmi Mosaku, among others.
The first episode, titled “Glorious Purpose” starts exactly after 2012 Loki escapes from the Avengers tower with the Tesseract and lands in the middle of Gobi Desert, Mongolia. This is where the Time Variance Authority (TVA) captures Loki. The TVA is said to be an agency which protects the ‘sacred timeline,’ which saves the universe from descending into chaos. The TVA neutralise Loki’s divine powers, and transport him into the bureaucratic maze that is the TVA. Owen Wilson’s Mobius, however has other plans for him.
Loki is one of the smartest projects of MCU Everything about the show is complicated and tumultuous, and in a good way. It is a six episode series with new episodes sir every Wednesday, starting from today(June 9). Loki is available in English and Hindi for the Indian viewers, with Tamil and Telugu episodes coming soon.
