Pride Month is celebrated every year in an effort to pay tribute to the people involved in the Stonewall Riots, 1969. This day marked the beginning of providing a place to the LGBTQ+ community in society. With changing time, show makers around the globe have put in efforts to make stories based on the LGBTQ+ community portraying the LGBTQ+ characters and their relationships.

Sex Education
This story will warm your heart and make you giggle at the same time. This series first appeared on the screen on 11 January 2019 on Netflix. Created by none other than Laurie Nunn, the story is about identifying, accepting and embracing one’s sexuality. Starring Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa as the lead roles. The story revolves around a young boy who gangs up with his classmate and builds a sex therapy clinic in association with the boy mother, a renowned sex therapist.
Riverdale
Created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Riverdale was premiered in the year 2017 on Netflix. Based on the comics of Archies, Riverdale is a suspense mystery show about teenagers who lives in a town full of deep-buried secrets and full of lies. One of the prime reason behind this show getting popular is the beautiful depiction of the LGBTQ+ characters. This show reveals its viewer dilemma faced by many LGBTQ+ people in society, how they embraced their sexuality and what struggle they have to go through in the process.
Atypical
Next on the list is Atypical, which first hit the screen in the year 2017. Atypical is a heartfelt story about a boy with an Autistic Spectrum disorder. Reaching the age of maturity, the boy finally decided that its time for him to finally make a girlfriend and begins his search for independence and love. The story raises the question that is What is considered normal? That leaves the audience in deep thought. The relationship between Casey and Izzie is relatable for the LGBTQ+ community.

The story revolves around an unexpected friendship between three girls portrayed by Brianna Hildebrand, Kiana Madeira and, Quintessa Swindell. The story voice out crucial topics like racism, exploitation and, addiction. The striking point of this series is that the two lead characters portrayed by the stars fall under the LGBTQ+ community. Also, the story beautifully adopts Elodie Davis, who is a gay teen.
The Wilds
The story of The Wilds is an adventure drama created by Sarah Streicher that revolves around a group of girls who find themselves on a deserted island. The show stresses the story of two girls, one of whom is strong and confident and, the other one is struggling with her sexuality. One of the stunning features of the story is that they make the LGBTQ+ story their central theme, which makes this show special in the hearts of the LGBTQ+ people.
