It began on September 9, 2009, and end on April 9, 2021. The English publisher Kodansha revealed yesterday that the titan-sized version of the first volume of Hajime Isayama’s Atack on Titan manga series has been recognized by Guinness World Records as the “Largest comic book written.”
The Largest comic book published measures 7,030.00 cm² (7 ft² 81.65 in²). The titan-sized edition is 36 times larger than the standard tankobon edition. At the price of about 1,514USD, it was released on March 6,202, as a part of the promotional campaign for the final chapter of the Attack on Titan manga series.
It was announced that the edition would be certified as a Guinness World Record if 10 copies were sold, then it sold out in about 2 minutes after it went on sale. Aside from winning several manga awards, Attack on Titan was also adapted into an anime series and live-action films, with the late Haruma Miura playing the lead character Eren.
