Who is a Daughter of God?

As the new declaration of the Relief Society states, “We are beloved spirit daughters of God.” To be a daughter of God is to be the literal offspring of Deity, inheriting godly attributes and potential. It is a divine privilege to be a daughter of God, and it is important to understand the significance of this declaration.

A daughter of God is one who has been created in the image of her Heavenly Father. She is endowed with divine gifts and capabilities, and she is capable of living a life of righteousness and joy. She is an heir to the blessings of her Heavenly Father, and she is part of His eternal family.

A daughter of God is one who has been given the opportunity to choose to follow her Heavenly Father’s plan for her life. She is blessed with the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop in her faith and in her relationship with her Heavenly Father. She is also given the opportunity to serve her fellow man and to help build the kingdom of God on earth.

A daughter of God is one who has been given the power to become like her Heavenly Father. She is capable of achieving great things and making a difference in the world. She is capable of becoming a leader, a teacher, a healer, and a source of strength and inspiration to those around her.

A daughter of God is one who has been given the responsibility to use her divine gifts and talents to bring about good in the world. She is called to be a witness of the truth, to be a light to those in darkness, and to be a beacon of hope and love. She is called to be an example of faith, hope, and charity.

A daughter of God is one who has been given the opportunity to experience joy and peace in her life. She is blessed with the opportunity to be part of a loving family and to enjoy the companionship of the Holy Ghost. She is blessed with the opportunity to have meaningful relationships with others and to serve her fellow man.

A daughter of God is one who has been given the opportunity to receive eternal life. She is blessed with the opportunity to return to her Heavenly Father and to live with Him forever. She is blessed with the opportunity to be part of an eternal family and to be a part of the work of the Lord.

A daughter of God is one who has been given the opportunity to be a part of something greater than herself. She is blessed with the opportunity to be part of a divine plan and to be part of something that will last forever. She is blessed with the opportunity to be part of a legacy of faith, hope, and charity.
