The K-pop sensations TWICE have been making waves internationally, and their latest EP, "Strategy," is no exception. This time, they've teamed up with the dynamic Grammy-winning rapper, Megan Thee Stallion, to create a unique musical experience.
"Strategy" is a great combination of K-pop and hip-hop: both acts can showcase their versatilities in this mix. The title track is a catchy, energetic anthem for Megan and all nine members of TWICE, so the chemistry between the two artists shines in this release.
Members of TWICE were very scared to work with such a big name, but Megan's warm and friendly attitude made them feel at ease. She even learned some Korean phrases to break the ice and make them feel more comfortable.
"She has a really powerful, strong image. We were wondering, would that fit in with our style of music and our image?" member Jeongyeon shared. "Once we recorded, we thought we actually fit really well, a lot better than we imagined. I feel like Megan's style really enhanced our part of the music."
Tzuyu agreed with Jeongyeon's sentiments saying, "In the beginning for us, because she's so famous and well known, we were quite shy, but just like [Jeongyeon] said earlier, Megan really tried a lot to break the ice. She kept trying to learn Korean and make jokes and just kept saying, "Let's just have fun together." I feel like the music video turned out very well."
The music video for "Strategy" is a feast for the eyes, showcasing the vibrant personalities of TWICE and Megan. The video is filled with stunning visuals, energetic choreography, and playful moments between the artists.
Megan Thee Stallion is basking in the glory of her latest projects, with the reissue of her third studio album, "Megan: Part II," and her personal documentary, "Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words." Such a collaboration with TWICE is a testament to how influential and versatile she is as an artist.
"Strategy" is a strong, exciting new chapter in TWICE's book. Not only has the collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion pushed the group's musical boundary, but it has also cemented them as one of the world's most influential K-pop acts.
