The Cure has just put out a new EP titled A Fragile Thing, which includes a live version of the track and a remix by the band's legendary lead vocalist, Robert Smith. Fans can now listen to this music through different streaming sites.

The original single comes within Songs Of A Lost World, the 14th studio album of the band, released last month. It is their first full-length record since 2008's 4:13 Dream and has already been widely acclaimed.

This new four-track EP includes a stand out live version of A Fragile Thing, recorded live from The Cure's epic album launch show at London's Troxy on November 1. Alongside the live version, fans get an exclusive reworking of the song, called A Fragile Thing – RS24 Remix, created by Smith. The EP also includes the radio edit and the full original track.

The band thanked fans, saying, "Thanks again to everyone for helping make the Troxy London night so special – in the room and around the world." This message referred to the globally streamed performance, which allowed audiences far and wide to experience the memorable evening.

The live recording of A Fragile Thing was also mixed by Smith, thereby signifying his involvement with the project. To heighten the anticipation, the band further teased, "More exciting Troxy news this Sunday," which left fans wondering whether it would be a live album or concert film. In the meantime, the entire three-hour show is on YouTube for a limited period.

Smith has often discussed how A Fragile Thing is an interpretation into the state of love with all its paradoxes and unyielding nature. "It's the most powerful emotion, and it's incredibly resilient. And yet at the same time, incredibly fragile," he explained in October.

This release is part of a whirlwind period for The Cure. Earlier this month, they unveiled a deluxe edition of Songs Of A Lost World, a record that secured the band their first UK Number One album in 32 years. That was back with 1992's Wish.

He, therefore, went ahead to appreciate it with such heartfelt feelings: "It is enormously uplifting, genuinely heartwarming to experience such a wonderful reaction to the release of the new Cure album.
