While the world eagerly awaits their long-awaited 2025 reunion tour, Oasis's Liam Gallagher has revealed that fans may see "a few new faces" among the Britpop giants when they hit the stage. This revelation comes as speculation grows about who might form part of the band's line-up ahead of the shows that promise to breathe life into one of the most magical bands in modern British history.

In the world of music, the buzz began since word came out concerning their return into the spotlight. Followers and critics alike are asking who should accompany Liam and Noel Gallagher on the reunion tour. Since the news is out, there's been some chattered hope among fans that who could join Liam and Noel Gallagher on this return tour. A fan tweeted on X, asking whether new members would be added to the band, and Liam responded, "Good question, there could be a few new faces just to freshen things up." This has ruffled some feathers for those trying to speculate about who might make up the Gallaghers if they indeed are back.

Reports at first said no other original members of Oasis were reported to be considered for any reunion, and it was speculated that members of Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds would fill out the band. That, however, is into question with the latest news. The first member many are arguing should rejoin the band is Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, a founding member of Oasis and one of the original guitarists.

One of the more important points of reunion rumors has been Bonehead, a member who has stuck to close friendship with Liam and was along with him for various solo tours he was undertaking. He wanted to be back and even Liam was keen to have him along. Says a source to The Sun, "Bonehead is confirmed. Both brothers wanted him in the fold and he was one of the driving forces of reunion. Noel has called in some members of his band too. Oasis family has really come back together. Bonehead is on cloud nine."

In fact, even Bonehead himself, once and for now former guitarist, has dropped hints that a possible reunion tour is on the cards. Last year when asked if he wanted to rejoin the Gallaghers, he jokingly declared himself ready: "I'm ready, got me dancing shoes."

Adding further fuel to speculation is the posting of an image by Alan White of his drum kit featuring a swirling Union Jack motif down the side, mirroring the artwork utilised for Oasis's early demo tape. Such a posting by the longest-serving drummer for the band from 1995 to 2004 has excited many into speculating over his touring involvement, but some press have been saying otherwise and NME are one of them.

Another original name put forward regarding the reunion is that of Tony McCarroll, who was one of the original drummers for the group. McCarroll was part of the original Oasis material, but he left the group in 1995. He's said previously that he hasn't been approached, so it's to be seen if he'd accept an invite.

Guitarist Gem Archer has also popped up in connection with the tour in more recent months. Archer, who replaced Bonehead in 1999 and was with Oasis till the band's breakup in 2009, has been reportedly shortlisted for the 2025 lineup. According to a source, "None of the band is 100 percent confirmed yet, but Gem is looking very likely along with Bonehead.". The key is to get those who both brothers will get on with and respect, and one hopes obviously that they'll also have been in the band before too. Gem ticks all those boxes, and he also helped co-write some of Oasis songs. An obvious target, and it would be a huge shock if he wasn't up on the stage for the UK tour. He knows the songs, he knows the band inside out and he has been on tour with the Gallaghers before and so he knows what he would be signing up for.

The "Oasis Live 25" world tour has already seen its first 14 stadium dates sell out and there will be additional shows at London in September 2025 to adjust the high demand. But the ticketing process did not go without its flaws. Fans were frustrated and angered with long lines and the dynamic pricing that attracted controversy and eventually, an investigation by the CMA. The backlash saw a cap on the prices of additional shows and the on-sale of tickets to fans who had not initially succeeded.

Liam Gallagher responded with his characteristic irreverence to the controversy by cracking a joke on Twitter/X about the controversy: "Oasis are back, I hear their attitude STINKS." But even as he let out the usual rumour and gossip about the reunion, he dropped hints at exciting developments such as a new album.As the reunion tour gets closer, fans can only anxiously wait for announcements of the full line up and any surprise the Gallaghers have in store.
