Rumors of an Oasis reunion gained pace after a number of tabloids reported that the two brothers had met at a central London hotel earlier this week. The reports indicated that Liam and Noel were spotted together at the Nobu Hotel Portman Square on February 25, reportedly with Liam's sons Lennon (25) and Gene (23). The reports added that Oasis guitarist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs was also with them before they all dispersed separately.

A source was quoted by The Sun saying tensions between the siblings had dissipated and they were now on "much better terms."

But Liam did not take long to dismiss the reports. When a fan on social media asked if he had met up with Noel in London, the singer bluntly replied: "FAKE NEWS."

He also went back at the fans asking for details about the alleged meetup, answering one sarcastically, "I did, it was lovely, we had a lovely chat and a cuddle."

The Independent has also spoken to a source, which debunked the reports saying Noel wasn't actually there with Liam, just his partner Debbie Gwyther and his children.

This is not the first time Liam has been forced to quash rumors regarding the highly awaited Oasis reunion. Earlier this month, he quashed rumors hinting that he was going to purchase a "country mansion" in the Cotswolds from tour proceeds.

Fans have also been making guesses regarding the duration of the forthcoming Oasis performances, to which Liam responded playfully, stating that they would last "59 minutes and 59 seconds."

The eagerly awaited reunion tour will kick off in July with huge shows at Manchester's Heaton Park, London's Wembley Stadium, Cardiff's Principality Stadium, Dublin's Croke Park, and Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium, before the band embarks on international dates.

In 2024, just weeks after news of the band's reunion broke, The Sun revealed details of a secret photoshoot that reunited Liam and Noel. "The shoot was top secret and hardly anyone had any idea it was happening," their insider explained. "For their fans to get to see them together again will be a fantastic sight. The mood in the room was buzzing, it was electric."

As fans remain hopeful for an Oasis reunion, Liam's recent answer puts it beyond doubt that some of the rumors that have been making the rounds might not be as genuine as they appear.
