What truly makes this Temerario special is that it is a hybrid. It runs on gas and electricity to power the car. The Temerario also packs an incredibly potent engine, rating just over 900 horsepower. The hybrid technology would not be fitting for a one-make type of car as the Temerario Super Trofeo. It's going to be a little too complicated and might restrain customer choice. We think we need to make a car that's really easy for any racing team to use and manage.

The Temerario, just like Lamborghini's LMDh racing prototype, will have a twin-turbo V8 engine. However, Mohr was keen to point out that this is not the same unit as in the LMDh. This road type Temerario uses a 4-liter V8 peaking at 790 bhp and revving at up to 10,000 rpm. This mill will be detuned for the GT3 variant, and Mohr sort of indicated that they may have to detune the engine's output to meet GT3 specifications that cap at about 520-530 bhp.
