Accessing GPT-4o is straightforward for anyone with an OpenAI API account. It can be utilized through various APIs including Chat Completions, Assistants, and Batch, as well as supporting function calls and JSON mode. Additionally, users can explore its functionalities via the Playground.

For users of the ChatGPT Free, Plus, and Team tiers, GPT-4o integration is automatic, with the model initially focusing on text and vision tasks. While free-tier access is subject to message restrictions, upgrading to Plus or Team tiers provides higher usage caps and additional benefits.

Enhanced vision capabilities are a highlight of GPT-4o, improving accuracy in analyzing uploaded images. Plus and Team subscribers can easily switch between GPT-4 and GPT-4o within their accounts, providing flexibility based on their needs and preferences.

Starting May 13th, 2024, ChatGPT-4o Plus users will enjoy increased message limits, enhancing their communication capabilities. However, to ensure fair access during peak hours, message limits may be adjusted dynamically.
