Meta, the parent company of Facebook, will be reinstating former President Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts in the upcoming weeks. This was announced by Meta’s President of Global Affairs, Nick Clegg, in a blog post. The accounts were suspended by Meta on January 7, 2021 for two years, due to Trump’s praise for those involved in the violence at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
