North Korean leader calls K-Pop ‘Cancerous’

K-pop (a form of Korean pop) has taken over the world with groups like BTS, Blackpink, TWICE, etc. taking over various platforms and youth culture. 

Kim Jong Un calls it “vicious cancer” corrupting the minds of North Korean youth with atrocious dressing styles and behaviours. According to a warning issued by his state media, it will make North Korea “crumble like a damp wall”. The state media has also made such statements claiming that it spreads “anti-socialist and non-socialist” beliefs in the country.

Smuggling through flash drives inside the country is punishable under their law, including death penalties.
