Upgrad acquires Bangalore based Impartus

Online higher education company upgrad has acquired Bengaluru based video enabled learning solutions provider Impartus . Upgrad will deploy money from from its Singapore based global investment company Temasek to fund the acquisition .

Impartus will operate as a wholly- owned subsidiary of upgrad . It will be integrated into the edtech platform and rebranded as upgrad campus. Upgrad campus will target higher education institutions and college students with learning tools and engaging content. 

Founded by three IIT graduates,  Amit mahensaria , Alok choudary and Manish Kumar,  Impartus develops tech solutions for education,  leveraging virtual classrooms that allow for deep learner teacher engagement. Upgrad has been predominantly focusing on working professionals and Impartus will allow it to expand its foothold among college students .

Upgrad offers over 100 courses in collaboration with Duke corporate Education, Michigan state university,  Liverpool John Moores university,  Deakin Business school , swiss school of Business management,  IIT madras and IIM kozhikode.

Founded in 2015, Upgrad has impacted over 1 million registered learners in over 50 countries globally.
