Advertising agency bans Instagram influencers from using filters to promote beauty products

Two influencers have been banned from sharing beauty products after manipulating their images using filters

– The Advertising Agency Authority in the UK said the two fooled their followers who may buy their products hoping for similar results

– A make-up expert who reported the two incidents said these acts of boosting images only add more pressure on women who strive to get such unattainable results.

The ban was implemented after two inflluencers Elly Norris and Baylis Zulio posted their pictures using body tanning products which was meant to deliver perfectly toned skin.

But, the campaigners said that the two manipulated the pictures using filters giving their followers a false impression about the product they were marketing. The two Instagram brands have also been banned from posting any more beauty products on the platforms.
